Christopher Sequeira is a writer and editor – published in Australia, Europe, the UK, Canada and the USA – who specialises in prose and graphic novel scripts in the mystery, horror, science fiction, fantasy and super-hero genres. He’s written scripts for flagship comic-book brands, such as Justice League Adventures for DC Entertainment, and Iron Man and X-Men stories for Marvel Entertainment, and he’s created original characters, and edited and published comics and short story collections in Australia, including the critically reviewed Cthulhu: Deep Down Under (edited with Steve Proposch and Bryce Stevens).
His current projects include Australia’s most popular superhero comic-book as he takes the wheel for THE PHANTOM on a few series for Frew Publishing; one being a Victorian-era graphic novel story, THE PHANTOM BY GASLIGHT (illustrated by Jason Paulos), looking at the Phantom tradition in 1888; while another is a current-day Phantom adventure set in Australia with Jan Scherpenhuizen on art, and a third looks at a film noir Phantom of the 1940’s with an international artist whose name is currently under wraps.
Other forthcoming works by Sequeira include the The Exoneration of Doctor Fu Manchu graphic novel series where he partners with artist and long-time colleague W. Chew Chan, and Sequeira edits and contributes a story to Sherlock Holmes: The Australian Casebook, a mass-market, hardcover collection of all-new Holmes stories to be published late 2017 by the Bonnier Group.
