Sure you can! We have a limited range of merchandise along with past guest autographs available to purchase via our online store here: https://occautographstore.com/

Expertise Events! You can reach us at info@ozcomiccon.com.

Oz Comic-Con is a family-friendly event celebrating the best of pop culture, particularly speculative fiction and fandom, and has something for everyone. The main areas we feature at our event are comics, movies and television, animation and anime, gaming, and costuming.

Oz Comic-Con is all about experiences, so to get the most out of your time at the show we encourage you to not just look, but to engage with the exciting content we have on offer. Attend a panel, get a photo or autograph with a celebrity, participate in a workshop, play a game in Gaming Zone, chat to an artist or author in Artist Alley, read a comic or watch an anime in Comic’s District, play some trivia, purchase some cool swag from our retailers, or get a sketch from one of our comic book artists! The more you do, the more fun you’ll have!

The Showguide and website schedule will have all the details of our activities and events 2 weeks out from each event.

Oz Comic-Con is a large, fun and busy event. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and staying hydrated. We also recommend bringing some spending money to shop all the cool, nerdy, or unique products our exhibitors bring in! You are very welcome to bring your own food, but there are also lots of food outlets and cafes onsite for you to grab something there.

You sure can! Please make sure you see the crew at the door and grab a wristband if you need to exit and return at any point.

Yes! We have a cloaking room located in the information booth at each event. The cost of cloaking items is $2 for small items and $5 for large items.

There is a separate complimentary cloak room for Platinum Ticket holders in the Platinum Lounge.

No. Carts, luggage on wheels, and empty strollers will NOT be allowed during show hours. Exhibitors needing such items for legitimate business purposes will be allowed access at the opening and closing of business each day. This is a safety issue and no exceptions will be made.

COSPLAY AND PROPS

Cosplay is a performance art where participants dress up in costume to represent a character. Cosplay is welcome and encouraged at Oz Comic-Con, but it is not required for entry.

You can dress up as whatever character you like at Oz Comic Con, as long as it doesn’t break any of our prop policies and is suitable for a family-friendly event. Head to our Cosplay Prop Policy page to read what is allowed and what is not. Failure to follow this policy may result in your removal from the convention without refund.

We look forward to seeing your awesome costume! Unfortunately we cannot pre-approve cosplay props. Please visit our props policy on our website here: https://ozcomiccon.com/cosplay/policies/prop-policy/. If you are still unsure after reading through those specifications, please see our staff at the Props Inspection Booth onsite at the show and they will be able to confirm this for you. If your prop is acceptable, they can tag it so you can bring it on to the show floor; and if not, we can store it in our cloakroom for you for the remainder of the show.

Not at this time. Oz Comic-Con is owned by Expertise Events who aren’t directly affiliated with ReedPOP and due to the international nature of the events that is not something we can pursue at this time.

The Oz Comic-Con Crew are our team of friendly, hard-working volunteers, hand-picked to support the organiser in running our awesome Oz Comic-Con events. Applications open about eight weeks out from each show, so please check our website/social channels for announcements around then. If you love pop culture, and are interested in joining our passionate Crew community, we’d love you to apply!

That depends on a number of factors including your prior experience. We will do our best to assign you to an area that interests you, however we cannot guarantee it. Completing the application form in detail, listing your interests and any prior experience helps us to assign you to the position that is best suited to you.

We do thank everybody who puts their hand up to help us out on their own time. We do get a lot of interest from people wanting to work at Oz Comic-Con, but unfortunately we do not have a position for every application we receive. We hope this doesn’t discourage people and you are free to re-apply for future events.

You must be 16 years old at the time of the show to work at the event.

In addition to your general admission ticket you’ll need to purchase a token to get a photograph or autograph from our celebrity guests. All tokens will be available to purchase online at least 2 weeks before the event until quantities are sold out. Please sign up to our newsletter via our website or follow us on Facebook to receive updates. If this is something you do not wish to miss out on we recommend purchasing your entry ticket online prior to arriving at the event for faster entry and upon entry going straight to the token booth line.

Oz Comic-Con provides the opportunity for you to meet with a celebrity during our event. You can do this by either purchasing Autograph or Photograph Tokens.

Autograph Tokens – This allows you to get something signed by a celebrity. We will have a selection of various headshots available for you to choose from in the autographing area that are included with the price of the token. Alternatively, you may bring your own item to be signed; however, it must be approved by the team in the autographing area. As a general rule, body parts and unlicensed merchandise will not be signed. Other conditions may apply.

Photograph Tokens – This allows you to have a professional photograph of yourself taken with a celebrity. The photo will be taken by our staff in a professional photobooth and you will be provided a single copy of the photo in the form of a physical print afterwards. You may have up to four people total in the photo, unless otherwise noted. The price of the photograph is per photo and print, not per person. Photos are available with individual guests as well as certain groups of guests.

Autographs and photographs are redeemed in their own designated areas during the hours of Oz Comic-Con. There will be set times that each token can be redeemed and Tokens must be redeemed on the specified date (e.g. Saturday tokens may only be used on Saturday of the event). For example, Guest A may be available to take photos between 9:00am and 10:00 am, as well as 2:00pm and 3:00pm on Saturday. Similarly they may have multiple times they can provide autographs. Before the event you must select the specific photo time, but you may use your token at any autograph session as long as it is used on the specified day of the token. Individual autograph sessions may become full so it is advised to line up early at a session and not to wait until the last session of the day to redeem your token.

Each guest has a listed photograph session time (you can find these closer to the event on the website). Before the schedule is released, simply select the day you would like to get your photo. On the day take your token to the photo area at the confirmed time.

Your professional photographs are printed onsite and will be available as you leave the photo area.

You may have up to four people in a photograph with a listed guest unless otherwise stated on our website. Children 3 and under do not count as part of this limit.

Autographs are available from each guest. Once you have purchased your token (either on the day or online), be sure to line up at the appropriate time for the guest you are interested in. You must have a token for each autograph that you desire. Autographs are not sold for a specific time during the day so you can redeem it at any available session that day.

You can have your own item signed if the guest allows. Before you reach the guest, a member of the Oz Comic-Con team will let you know if your item is appropriate and will be signed by the guest. If you do not have your own item, each guest will have several complimentary 8×10 images available for you to choose from. Please note too that some guests may not personalise autographs.

Sorry, but guests will not accept any homemade foods or perishables. Instead, share your delicious creation with your family and friends!

Tokens will only be refunded in the event of a guest cancellation. They will not be refunded for change of mind or if you miss a scheduled time to redeem your token.

If you didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail the e-mail could be incorrect or the payment hasn’t been processed. If you are concerned you can visit us at the token booth on site.

All you need for the show is a digital print out of your Token QR Code or bring it with you on your phone to the token booth ahead of your photographs and autographs to scan and swap for a redeemable token.

Your friend will need the QR code issued in your confirmation e-mail to redeem at the Token Booth or the physical Token purchased at the token booth.

No, your token can only be used once at the show.

Don’t worry. Only a limited quantity of tokens are being made available online. You’ll still be able to purchase tokens onsite.

Photo op is just that – a photo opportunity with your favourite celebrity talent. It is unfortunately not a meet & greet and should not be viewed as such. Out of fairness to everyone, conversation with the talent, aside from a quick hello, is discouraged. The autograph area is a better place to have a longer conversation.

Unfortunately you cannot record any celebrity guests at Oz Comic-Con. If you would like to film our attendees, please ensure you ask their permission before any photography or videography is taken.
