Oz Comic-Con Melbourne - Here we come!
Firstly, we want to thank Perth and Adelaide for the support over two brilliant weekends. With over 27,000 attendees at our first Oz Comic-Con Perth it was an amazing two days and we are delighted to say we will be returning next year on 29th and 30th March 2014, with an even bigger exhibition space. Meanwhile, Adelaide showed up in force for our second Oz Comic-Con, with over 25,000 attendees. Everyone loved our bigger venue, huge array of retailers and stellar line-up. With a brilliant time had by all, we can't wait to come back to Adelaide next year on the 5th and 6th of April 2014. Once again both cities will feature great retailers, a ton of activities and spectacular special guests, kicking off with fan-favourite Amanda Tapping.
In the meantime we are all fired up after the past two shows and we are pouring all our energy into making our upcoming Oz Comic-Con Melbourne a fantastic show. Our new venue at the Royal Exhibition Building will allow us greater capacity and to rectify the issues we had with queuing both externally and internally. We will also be providing onsite printing of photographs, with three photographers to offer as many photo opportunities with our guests as possible. With our guest list already off to a great start, we are very much looking forward to the announcements we will be making over the next few months.

Oz Comic Con Perth - News Update
It’s the day after Oz Comic-Con Perth and we’d like to thank you all for coming out to the show. Apart from a few little teething issues on Saturday as it was our first show in Perth and our first time printing on-site (which were mostly sorted out for Sunday and which we're working on now to address before Adelaide), we had a great weekend and we loved sharing it with you.
We're still working on our final count, but our current numbers are around 27,000 people through the show over the weekend, which is a wonderful response from Perth.
We would like to thank everyone for their patience on Saturday morning, and Sunday afternoon when the venue was a getting a little full with enthusiastic fans and we had to slow the entry line into the pavilions. Next year we are back with more space.
Also we would like to thank all our special guests and exhibitors, who made it an awesome weekend for everyone who came, and we’d especially like to thank our staff and volunteers, without whom the show could not go on, and who worked tirelessly all weekend to make it a great experience for everyone who came.
We’re going to be back next year in an even bigger venue, with more great guests including Robin Dunne, Todd Haberkorn and Amanda Tapping, more fun things to do and see, and more room for you all to get around and see the show, and we look forward to seeing you all again!

Oz Comic Con Perth - Almost Here
We're so excited to be bringing Oz Comic Con to Perth in just 1 more sleeps.
Get ready for the ultimate line-up of guests, including Captain James T Kirk himself, William Shatner, the man who made paper clips cool and who jumped through the Stargate, RIchard Dean Anderson and The Rocky Horror Picture Show's Patricia Quinn along with many others.
Get amongst it with free laser tag, console gaming tournaments and card gaming. We've got coslayers covered with two amazing competitions, also we have a venue with air-conditioning for your comfort but remember to bring water and keep hydrated to make the most of your day. We have a massive main stage with seating for 2600 to see the headline guests and a ton of retailers from across the country.
There will be clearly marked queues with those who have prepaid getting in first. And please be patient and listen to the directions of the Oz Comic-Con team, as this helps us ensure that everyone will has a great time on the day.

We here at Oz Comic Con are very excited to finally be able to announce that we have an app available for all of you iPhone users!
For the last few months we have been working hard with the team at BoogaIT in an effort to have it ready for you and guess what?! It is ready for you all just in time!

Oz Comic-Con
Oz Comic-Con is the ultimate pop-culture and fan expo, featuring multi-genre content from across the spectrum; from film and television stars to comic book and anime artists, gaming demonstrations and cosplay competitions, to portfolio reviews and creative workshops and master classes.
Oz Comic-Con will be more than just a gathering place for fans of the various arms of pop-culture. It will celebrate and educate; it's the place to come if you want to share your love of pop-culture, get up close and personal with celebrities, enter contests with fantastic prizes, or learn how to break into the industry.
There will be activities and events galore, more than enough to keep you busy for a full weekend, and wanting to come back for more. After a successful Adelaide debut, and what only can be described as a massive Melbourne show, Oz Comic-Con will be returning to Adelaide next year on 16th & 17th March 2013, after its first Perth event on 9th & 10th of March 2013 followed by Melbourne on 6th and 7th of July 2013.

Latest News
It is with great sadness that we have to announce that due to personal reasons, Amanda Tapping with not be able to join us for Perth and Adelaide Oz Comic-Con in 2013. Amanda sent the note below regarding this:
"Hello to my beautiful fans down under.
I am deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to circumstances beyond my control I have to cancel my Australian convention appearances this spring.
It was a trip that my family were very much looking forward to.
I am so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
With my humblest apologies,
Amanda xoxo"
Please note however as per the below statement from her agency we will be hosting Amanda in 2014:
"Illumina Productions regrets the cancellation of our client, Amanda Tapping, and we want to be very, very clear. Amanda WILL NOT be appearing for any other Australian promoter in 2013 and she is looking forward to rescheduling her appearance for Oz Comic-Con in 2014."
Whilst we understand how disappointing this is we have sourced an amazing replacement guest; the brilliant Richard Dean Anderson, best known for his starring role in MacGyver and as Captain Jack O'Neill! Richard will be attending both Perth and Adelaide Oz Comic-Con events, and to secure your photograph and autograph we have exclusive RDA Experience tickets and Ultimate RDA tickets available for purchase NOW! Don't forget that due to the Clipsal 500 there has been a date change This means the new dates for Oz Comic-Con Perth are the 9th & 10th of March and the new dates for Oz Comic-Con Adelaide are the 16th & 17th of March. The venue is also changing in Perth; we will no longer be at the Claremont Showground. Instead, we'll now be at the Perth Exhibition Centre! As a side benefit for music lovers this also moves the event away from the Soundwave Festival.
We're looking forward to seeing everyone at next year's events.
